The Black River Valley Senior Center recently received a generous contribution from M&T Bank and the M&T Charitable Foundation to support its Meals on Wheels program, which provides nutritious meals and regular social contact to homebound seniors and other residents throughout the region.

“At M&T Bank and the M&T Charitable Foundation, we are proud to support the Meals on Wheels program at the Black River Valley Senior Center,” said Tammi Norton, Senior Relationship Banker at M&T Bank. “This program plays a vital role in ensuring that homebound neighbors and older adults have access to nutritious meals and meaningful connection. Programs like this are essential to the health, dignity, and independence of the individuals they serve—particularly in rural communities where access can be limited.”

Norton presented the donation to Black River Valley Senior Center Board Members John Murphy and Jean Strong. Also participating in the presentation was Meals on Wheels volunteer Mike Paulson. Behind the camera was Bob Snow, who, along with Paulson and Norton, helps deliver meals to local residents through the Home Delivered Meals program.

The Meals on Wheels program provides an important service to older adults and others in need, helping them remain healthy, independent, and connected to their community. The Black River Valley Senior Center is always seeking volunteers to assist with meal deliveries. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to call the Senior Center at 802-228-7421 for more information.

The Board of Directors expressed its sincere appreciation to M&T Bank and the M&T Charitable Foundation for their continued support.
